"When I started the Oreste Project in 2019, I had any knowledge about music production at all.
The fact that I had no basis on this subject makes me able to do what I’m currently doing.
Because of this lack of experience, I randomly try things, weird combinations of effects, sometimes without caring about the mechanical and physical process behind. By dint of repeating this improbable protocol, the unexpected always shows up. My ignorance has finally became a tool in my creative process so to speak. « Unfull Psalmodian Theory » seems to be a quite interesting exemple. The main skeleton of the album is in the making somehow since the birth of Oreste project. I just dusted off some old unfinished stems and gave them new colors and a new coat. My work is very intuitive, and often naive, I just let my sensitivity run free without feeling the need to tell a story or whatever message, in a way, my music undergoes some kind of intellectual vacuousness, but that’s ok. I have nothing much to say. I just have images, pieces of memories, places, or even smells. Maybe one day, I’ll try to create with a more calculated process, but at the moment I feel blessed for having approaching music in this way. "
